On occasion each of is asked to do something outside our usual routine and sphere of comfort to be part of a greater good. This year I have been given the opportunity to help the patients at the California Pacific Medical Center by being the candidate for King of the 2007 Little Jim Club’s Mardi Gras Ball.
The Little Jim Club of San Francisco has a 50 year history as a non-profit charitable organization which has made a tremendous difference for thousands of children that have come though the Child Development Center and Pediatrics at California Pacific Medical Center. Through the charity of the Little Jim Club, children with developmental needs are treated regardless of the ability to pay.

As a neonatologist, I have witnessed both the personal anguish and steadfast determination of parents for these children. Through the generous support of the Little Jim Club, we take cost out of the equation and get them the care that they need. Having such an important resource available to the children of this region is a vital link in the chain of |
comprehensive care offered by the department of Pediatrics at CPMC
The primary fund raising event is the annual Mardi Gras Ball which will be held on March 2nd, 2007. Each year the Club has an “election” of a monarch based on money raised from the individual candidates. I am one of two candidates for the “King of the Mardi Gras Ball” and representing both California Pacific Medical Center and the Department of Pediatrics. I hope you will support my endeavors to raise money for the CPMC Pediatric services.
Your donation is tax deductable. You may donate directly to the Club and/or purchase tickets to the ball (with my name as the candidate you are supporting).
